Instructions to make Chickpeas masala:
- Wash and soak white chickpeas for 7 or 8 hours or overnight..
- Put ginger, garlic and onion in the grinding jar. Grind it into smooth paste. Add littile water if needed and grind it again.Paste is ready, take it out from the jar..
- Put tomatoes in the grinding jar and grind it into paste (do not add water)..
- Turn on the flame, heat pressure cooker..
- Add oil and let it heat properly..
- Add cardamom, cloves and cumin seeds and fry it for few seconds on medium flame..
- Reduce the flame to low. Add turmeric powder and redchilli powder and mix it and cook for few seconds..
- Add ground onion paste, mix it and cook it for 2 minutes on medium flame. Stir it..
- Add cumin powder, coriander powder, chole masala and mix it and cook it for half minutes on medium flame. Stir it well..
- Add tomato paste and mix it properly..
- Cook it for 1 minutes on low flame and stir well..
- Add soaked white chickpeas and mix it..
- Add 1 and half cup water, stir it and add salt, garam masala powder and mix it..
- Cover the lid of pressure cooker properly. Keep the flame on low medium. Cook it for 5 whistles..
- After 5 whistles, turn off the flame. Let the pressure cooker cool down completly. Open it carefully and stir well. Add some coriander leaves and mix well. Serve hot !.
