- {Get of dried chickpeas soaked overnight.
- {Make ready of haldi powder.
- {Get of salt.

Instructions to make Amritsari chole:
- Cooking Chickpeas Firstly soak the dried chickpeas overnight in water or for 8-9 hours with 2 to 3 tbsp of black tea leaves in stainer over it..
- Next day pressure cook the soaked chickpeas adding the salt, haldi powder and oil..
- Pressure cook for 20-30 minutes or till the chickpeas are completely cooked..
- If water remains strain the chickpeas and reserve the stock..
- In a large pan or a large kadai, heat oil..
- Add cumin, coriander seeds and 2 to 3 cinnamon sticks..
- Add the chopped onions, add salt and fry till golden brown..
- Add the ginger-garlic and green chilli paste..
- Add all the spice powders, stir and saute for a minute..
- Add the tomato, cashew and curd paste, saute till they releases oil..
- Now, sprinkle some kasuri methi and add the boiled chickpeas and saute for 3-4 minutes..
- Atlast add some fresh coriander leaves..
- SERVE IT WITH Your FAV. BREAD LIKE (paratha,poori,naan,or bhatura)..
- I have made the fried masala aloo with it. HERE'S THE RECIPE¬ Take 2-3tsp of oil add some coriander seeds and add some medium diced 3-4 potatoes. Now add some masala like 1tsp of salt, 1tsp of red chilli powder, ½tsp of turmeric and ½tsp of garam masala, saute it nicely and let it cook for 3-4 mins. Stir it in between and fried masala aalo is ready..
