- Do not leave crock pot unattended. Cabbage will burn on the bottom. This is an easy way to cook down cabbage when you are home doing housework. I get my husband to stir for me if I`m not at home :-).
- Lower crock pot to warm while preparing the onion and noodles..
- Saute onion in remaining stick of butter until soft..
- Cook noodles according to package directions and drain..
- Drain cabbage. Combine half of cooked cabbage with noodles, pour onion and butter over mixture and stir..
- Add salt to taste..
- Freeze remaining drained cabbage for future use. I get 2 batches of Haluski from 1 medium head of cabbage..
